Wednesday - Trying to Get Out of a Rut and Burnout

Happy Wednesday all! We are half way through the week!! This morning I have been lucky enough to wake up with toothache, this wasn't on my bingo card for the week. I'm hoping that some pain killers and determination will help me get through the day. ----------------------------------------------------- Recently despite having some time away from work, I have been suffering with some burnout. I also think I'm stuck in a bit of a Rut that I've been trying to claw myself out of. I always know when burnout hits when I stop with my hobbies and just sit there trapped in my phone. Which I hate for myself and anyone who has dealt with the feeling. Half finished projects sit around the house, writing projects are forgotten due to low mood imposter syndr...

Friday - Winding Down After a Long Week

Happy Friday All! We have managed to get to the end of the week! After starting my week off on a low, I'm feeling a little less blue but still tired. I'm hoping to get some good rest this weekend as well don't really have much going on. The day has been long, a lot of work done. I'm happy to be home after a long working week. Had a little fail with cooking dinner tonight. I accidentally didn't use the best tea towel for taking a tray out of the oven. I tried to push it on the side quickly, in doing so I slightly burnt my finger tips and pushed an open pack of salad leaves onto the floor. About half the bag found it's was out onto the floor so we had slightly less salad with our burger and chips tonight. I really don't help myself sometimes, even with the dyspraxia trying it best to make me fail. ...

Turkot (EBook) When I first got a copy of this book and started to read I was a little deterred at the beginning. The Rain is quite hard to get into and I forced myself to continue because the concept of the story seemed like it should be better. It is a little hard to get through the way it has been written and the lack of speech marks of other characters takes away some enjoyment for me. Some of the speech is told from the characters point of view and some is not but there is no differentiation between two kinds of dialogue. After getting over all of that it was an ok read and I will probably finish the trilogy. The story has a great concept that I love always and haven't read many weather themed post apocalyptic books. I am always happy to give a book a chance and I did enjoy it. ...

Happy Wednesday! Another day another work day... So after the last lot of snow that has thawed, I awake to another lot of snow this morning. Again not enough to stop the trains. I left Blake in bed while I slipped down the hill to the station and the train was basically on time. -- Thankfully I am off on Friday so I only have today and Thursday to contend with work and all to do with it. We are back with another film cupboard review post after quite a long while. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guardians of The Galaxy: Volume 2 Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage. - IMDB GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (2017) I was blown away by the first Guardians of The Galaxy and I wanted to watch it again as soon as it finished the first time. Song of The Day - Monday - The Beast From The East!

Happy Monday! A fairly chilly start to the week on this snowy Monday morning. As usual Southeastern rail are panicking at the thought of snow and then it actually happening. They were sending out messages last night about Monday evening, saying that everyone should finish their journeys home by 18:00. yeah that's not going to happen with me, I finish work at 18:00, even if I managed to leave earlier my train would not get me home by 18:00. -- The weekend consisted of films, gaming and avoiding the cold outside as much as possible. We did go out to a nearby shopping centre to buy a new computer chair as our one died a death a while ago now. I can now game, write and browse the interwebs in comfort. I also snagged some craft paper from The Range while I was there, this will be great for my junk journal.
