It has been a while since I have posted a baking or cooking post. So I thought I would post something I whipped up last Sunday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was an experiment recipe that came about because we were due for a food shop and I had a lot of odd foods hanging around from my birthday but nothing I could make a meal that went together. These were my ingredients: * 1 Sheet Just Roll Light Puff Pastry Sheet * 1 Yellow Bell Pepper * 3 Sticks of Celery * 1 Nob of Butter * 1 Sour Cream and Chive dip 1) Firstly I got the pastry out of the fridge and put it to one side, this makes it more manageable when you roll it out flat. 2) I chopped the pepper into small cubes and sliced the celery thinly. 3) I then cooked them in the butter until soft and added the cooked pepper and celery to the divided pastry. You can cut them smaller than this if you want. ...

Monday - Finding my Way Back to Blogging

------------------------------- Good Day All! It seems to have been almost an entire year since I last blogged. It has also seemed to have become a pattern of trying to commit to it and losing my energy to my mind due to mental health. I have spend a good while thinking about this blog and wishing I had the bandwidth to push myself to write and do what I enjoy. So these little blogs will possibly be a writing exercise to stretch and strengthen my ability to chat utter rubbish at you all. So to start and kick off the slow waining of the summer towards the autumn and the coming inspiration of the cosy days ahead. Here's a short run down of the big things that happened for me. A lot has happened over the past year! At the beginning of last year we ...

Weight Loss Adventures: Truenopal Cactus Water

Another year over, a new one has begun and a new attempt at eating healthy begins. Today I taste test Truenopal Cactus Water. *I pay for everything I review unless stated* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Packaging The packaging is bright and simple but appealing. It gets to the point and tells you exactly what you would be looking for on a food package or container. They also tell you a little about the product and why they decided to market it. Tetra Pak makes the packaging and they try to use sustainable materials. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Taste & My Thoughts Smell: it smells refreshing, clean and natural. Look: It is a light clear red/pink colour but doesn't look like artificial colouring. Taste: A strong slightly bitter taste at the be...

Hello Again

It's been just over a year since I popped on last to blog. Recently I've thinking about my poor neglected blog and how a long time ago I used to blog almost every day and as time went to 3 days a week. As we've hit September and my mind mentally shifts to autumn, the inspiration begins to bubble up once again. With NaNoWrio waving from November, the teasing of autumnal walks and hot chocolate in a cosy blanket I can't help but want to sit and write. So here I am, sitting in a cosy chair with a blanket, cat and plushie shark for company. Fan on because sed blanket is a little too cosy and the dregs of summer still hanging on aren't fitting the chilly vibes. To celebrate the end of summer and the start of autumn we visited Faversham for it's Hop Festival that happens each year around the end of August/start of September. Much beer and cider has drunk over the weekend as we decided one day wasn't enough. The smell of hops, various food stalls and bustling crow...
