It has been a while since I have posted a baking or cooking post. So I thought I would post something I whipped up last Sunday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was an experiment recipe that came about because we were due for a food shop and I had a lot of odd foods hanging around from my birthday but nothing I could make a meal that went together. These were my ingredients: * 1 Sheet Just Roll Light Puff Pastry Sheet * 1 Yellow Bell Pepper * 3 Sticks of Celery * 1 Nob of Butter * 1 Sour Cream and Chive dip 1) Firstly I got the pastry out of the fridge and put it to one side, this makes it more manageable when you roll it out flat. 2) I chopped the pepper into small cubes and sliced the celery thinly. 3) I then cooked them in the butter until soft and added the cooked pepper and celery to the divided pastry. Song of The Day - Monday - Sunshine and Sunburn

Morning All! Awesome weekend of sunshine and being mostly productive, also a little sunburnt now. We kicked my terribly over grown gardens arse on Saturday and got a little sunburnt in the process. Ouch! We went for a rummage at a boot fair on Sunday for the fun of it and got a little frazzled from the sun there as well. We had a little siesta after our adventure because we were up so early. In the evening we had dinner and watched The Golden Child, it has been too long since I saw that film. We had smirnoff vodka mango sorbet for a small refreshing pudding. Feeling still a little frazzled from yesterday, I'm not sure how today is going to go. I am extra tired this Monday Morning. I had a really good weekend, the 90's party was a lot of fun in the end. I chose Dot from the Animaniacs in the end and my partner went as the guy from the video 'pretty fly for a white guy. We did some grown up shopping because we are going to decorate the house soon and we wanted to get a new carpet, fun! We also had dinner at the in-law's yesterday evening and watched 'Dead Snow 2'. Now we are bback to Monday again, let's see what the day bringa. Song of The Day - Wednesday - Snow-Way!

Happy Wednesday! Another day another work day... So after the last lot of snow that has thawed, I awake to another lot of snow this morning. Again not enough to stop the trains. I left Blake in bed while I slipped down the hill to the station and the train was basically on time. -- Thankfully I am off on Friday so I only have today and Thursday to contend with work and all to do with it. Song of The Day - Monday - The Beast From The East!

Happy Monday! A fairly chilly start to the week on this snowy Monday morning. As usual Southeastern rail are panicking at the thought of snow and then it actually happening. They were sending out messages last night about Monday evening, saying that everyone should finish their journeys home by 18:00. yeah that's not going to happen with me, I finish work at 18:00, even if I managed to leave earlier my train would not get me home by 18:00. -- The weekend consisted of films, gaming and avoiding the cold outside as much as possible. We did go out to a nearby shopping centre to buy a new computer chair as our one died a death a while ago now. I can now game, write and browse the interwebs in comfort. I also snagged some craft paper from The Range while I was there, this will be great for my junk journal. The Range is a bit like an everything shop, you can buy craft supplies, furniture of all verities, decorating supplies, garden stuff, pet supplies...etc. -- I did...
