It's Wednesday and that means it's film review day!
It's been a while but it's finally here.

Fool's Gold
A new clue to the whereabouts of a lost treasure rekindles a married couple's sense of adventure -- and their estranged romance. - IMDB
Sunken Treasure Ahoy!
I like an adventure film as much as the next person and I can even admit to like some that are considered bad films. Despite the casting of Donald Sutherland, Kate Hudson, Kevin Hart and even a sneaky bit of Ray Winstone, it really is just an OK movie.
Fool's Gold has all the set up to be a fun adventure film but just doesn't make the cut. If you want an adventure film with some comedy and romance that also stars Matthew McConaughey, watch Sahara instead.
I give this film 2 out of 5.

The Jurassic Games
In the near future, 10 death row convicts are forced to compete in a virtual reality game that pits them against dinosaurs and each other. - IMDB
It's like The Hunger Games, Running Man and Ready Player One all rolled into one. It's also a lot like a books called Grid Seekers by Logan Byrne which was ok but The Hunger Games and Battle Royal got there first. On top of that the incredibly bad CGI doesn't help with making the story believable and immersive. The virtual world they have been thrust into is supposed to be so hard to distinguish from the real world but the beasties that they encounter are shoddy at best.
This is truly a bad movie of the highest level. If you are looking for something to add to your bad movie night this would probably be a warm up movie.

Burying The Ex
A guy's regrets over moving in with his girlfriend are compounded when she dies and comes back as a zombie. - IMDB
I do love a zombie film but sometimes it feels as though screen writers and film companies are just trying to cash in on the zombie film popularity. Burying The Ex doesn't make me feel that, with it's fresh mix of supernatural Voodoo magic and modern zombie style if brings something new to the table. With the addition of comedy and a little romance it, Burying The Ex is a fun enjoyable film that I would re-watch.
I give this film 5 out of 5.
