The last book was quite a hard hitter, Toby is still not happy with the world and her situation but she gets thrown in the deep end anyway. The world waits for nobody.
The Toby books are always exciting but this one has new scary lands, new bad guys and of course new characters adding to Toby's family of friends. If you are this far into the series keep going because it's you are too far down the rabbit hole to turn back now, you are in Toby's world and will have to see out her story.
I can never put down these books and have rebought them on audiobook, Mary Robinette Kowal is Toby to me and I hope she always narrates them.
