Cloud Zombie's Film Cupboard - Reuben-Ruuben, Guardians of The Galaxy,

Welcome back to Cloud Zombie's Film Cupboard, here is my next set of film reviews.
Reuben, Reuben
A drunken Scottish poet, who has not written a word in years, feels compelled to regain control of his life and work after meeting a beautiful young woman. - IMDB
This is an odd film and felt a bit like the man character, slightly pissed and out of focus. It is a good film but it feels over long for what the story is, there are some very fun moments in this film and the main character is a bit bumbling at times.  I would also say it is of a time and being a girl that was not even born then I find it hard to relate to the goings on. It had a kind of 'Jack and Sarah' air about it with the romance dimmed down a bit. If you do see this film don't go into it expecting it to be a comedy/romantic comedy because it really isn't.
I give this film: 6/10
Guardians of The Galaxy
After stealing a mysterious orb in the far reaches of outer space, Peter Quill from Earth, is now the main target of a manhunt led by the villain known as Ronan the Accuser. To help fight Ronan and his team and save the galaxy from his power, Quill creates a team of space heroes known as the "Guardians of the Galaxy" to save the world. - IMDB
This is probably one of the best comic book films of the last couple of years I have seen. It's fun, has a fantastic soundtrack, an awesome story and great actors. The beginning of the film almost killed me emotionally but I couldn't help but smile when we were introduced to the fully grown Starlord You know the scene).
I love all of the characters so much, they work incredibly well together and I would much like to read the graphic novels in the near future.

I give this film: 10/10
