Annie the musical was inspired by a comic strip called 'Little Orphan Annie' by Harold Gray.

I have never seen the stage musical of Annie but I have grown up loving the film and the few reboots.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is one of the latest retellings of Annie's story and I think it gives it a more modern twist and how the story would work in todays society.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There was also a TV movie in 1999, it follows the normal story line.

The two trailers show us the transitions of the two points in time and how the styles have changed in film.

I love this song in any shape or form, it's a release and energetic.

There have been many covers of this song and many versions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miss Hannigan was not a very nice lady, she was a drunk and abusive to the girls she was supposed to be caring for. She is a character we love to hate because she was such a bitch to everyone and was only interested in self gain.

Cameron Diaz give Miss Hannigan a modern day white trash spin but still holds the underlying selfishness and sneer.

This is one of the other songs that stands out to me.

This is a pretty funny scene and song, I know they are planning something bad but I love Miss Hannigan's hatred for her brothers wife.

In this version the two scheming are not related at all but are both out for self gain at the expense of Annie.

And of course the all important ending.
That pure joy you see in Annie's face, knowing that her life will turn around into nothing she has seen before.

Thank you for reading!
