St Patrick's Day - Things I Miss About Ireland

Happy St Patrick's Day Everyone!
Over the years I have celebrated Paddies day in different ways and this was Last Years Post. Recently it dawned on me that I haven't been to Ireland for around ten years and I have been filled with a longing to visit.

Family
I have a great many family members over in Ireland that I only get to see twice a year and sometimes not even that much.
My Nan is in here 80s now and has been quite ill of late and I last saw her at Christmas time.
I also have Aunties and an Uncle over in Ireland that I miss and only get to talk to them through social media and email. I know that's just the way it is but sometimes it sucks.

This is one of my favourite places to go in Ireland and it's still open, I am a bit kid at heart.

The Irish Countryside
I have spend many a time walking in the Irish countryside with my family. I spent a large chunk of my childhood holidays over at my Nan's house where she would take the dogs for a walk everyday without fail and it was great.
I walked in streams with my wellies on feeling the cool water run over my feet, I made friends with cows and sheep, I picked flowers and made daisy chains. There was always an adventure to be had.

Irish Pubs

This is Sally Garden, it is a pub/shop/deli that is very close to my Nan's house in Slane. As a child this was the best because I could go to the shop and get sweets to eat at the pub and as an adult now this is a plus.

The atmosphere in Irish pubs is a lot more pleasant than anywhere else in the world and you will never be lonely in a pub in Ireland since most people are up for a chin wag.
