Cloud Zombie's Film Cupboard - Bitch Slap, Mission Impossible, Mouse Hunt

Hello and Welcome back to Cloud Zombie's Film Cupboard when I review my large film collection, the latest cinema releases and DVD, Blu-ray, and download releases.

Bitch Slap

When three curvaceous babes, stripper Trixe, business executive Hel, and the feisty ex-con Camero, arrive at a desert hideaway to steal a stash of diamonds from an underworld kingpin, things quickly spiral out of control. Allegiances are switched, truths are revealed, criminals are unmasked and nothing is quite what it seems as the fate of the world is precariously balanced among this trio of sexy femmes fatales. - IMDB

Bitch Slap is an over the top, ridiculously fun and entertaining film. I love the characters and how they interact with each other. It has the feel of  a grindhouse movie that has ADHD.
The gritty feel to it wipes away the clean sparkle of Hollywood and shouts for more gore.
The main cast is mostly female and there is a lot of lady loving within the film that could leave you feeling hot under the collar, these scene do feel a little randomly placed though.
Bitch slap is a great Friday night in film with a few drinks, friends and lots of laughs. You could even make a drinking game out of this one.

I give this film 9/10

Mission Impossible

Based on the hit T.V. series. Jim Phelps was sent to Prague for a mission to prevent the theft of classified material. His wife Claire and his trusted partner Ethan Hunt were members of Phelps' team. Unfortunately, something went horribly wrong and the mission failed, leaving Ethan Hunt the lone survivor. After he reported the failed mission, Kettridge the head of the agency suspects Ethan of being the culprit for the failed mission. Now, Ethan uses unorthodox methods (Which includes the aid of an arms dealer going by the name "Max") to try to find who set him up and to clear his name. - IMDB

Going back a while now since 4 other films have followed with hints of a 5th being added to the franchise.
This is where Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) started out and it was not such a happy beginning. I have always enjoyed the MI films and I am always fully entertained by how different it is to James Bond.
It gives it a more dangerous feel as a whole, something the more modern James Bond films have only really started doing recently.

I give this film 10/10

Mousehunt

A family film about a mouse that lives in an old house where the geriatric owner dies, and 'Nathan Lane' and Lee Evans have plans for, but they have trouble getting rid of the mouse. It's like Home Alone with a mouse. - IMDB

Mousehunt feels like a live action Tom and Jerry chase starring Lee Evans and Nathan Lane. These unlikely pair work excellently together and seem to hold onto their own comedy styles throughout. It is a lot of fun overall, the story is funny and s little sweet and this is a great film for kids and big kids.

I give this film 10/10
